This magazines covers shows a strong willed and sophisticated women. this is shows how she stands against the wall and poses for the camera. This challenges the stereotype of women not being strong or in control as she looks powerful with the dress she is wearing in the picture. This how ever does reinforce the stereotype of women always having to look perfect as in the picture u cant even see a hair out of place on the women. The Gerbner Theory Suggests that this magazine cover will change the audiences perceptions of every day life and therefore I agree with the theory because women will look at this cover and wish to look like this and want to be perfect. It doesn't represent to be yourself and it doesn't matter what u look like, therefore young women's minds will be shaped to think that they aren't perfect until they look like the women on the cover. Body language can show what somebody is thinking or feeling at that moment in time, on the magazine cover she looks like she's in charge and powerful as she stands with her hands on her hips looking directly at the camera as the light hits her from the right hand side. Overall women are represented as powerful and sophisticated on this front cover.
