Media Mythologies- media myths are commonly held beliefs, and they are used frequently to create meaning in advertising.

Anchoring- when an image by itself is ambiguous- i.e. it has no clear meaning, then meaning its often attached through the use of a caption and logo. Meaning is anchored (locked) in the image through the use of the caption and/r logo.

The name Dior is a French baby name. In French the meaning Dior is: Related to D'Or meaning golden. This is ironic as the liquid in the bottle is golden and the whole advert is golden too. In the advert the women looks strong and fierce like a gold bar. She is rich in powerfulness and sexiness because she is in such luxury and glamour. She is confident and empowered as she is covered in jewellery. The mythologies show all of these like the golden, chandeliers and jewellery which represent luxury, glamour and sexiness

Dior means golden, like the golden liquid that sits in the bottle. In this advert it represents them being smart in a suit and serious.  He also looks sophisticated and like a James Bond type of character as he is rich and powerful
